BSA Honors Grey Larkin

The Boy Scouts of America Utah National Parks Council will honor Grey Larkin with a Distinguished Citizen Award Dinner on March 29 at the DSC Gardner Center. Funds raised from the dinner will benefit Scouting programs. Grey Larkin has made “enduring contributions” to the area and represents the principles and values of the Boy Scouts of America. Larkin is an Eagle Scout and has always been involved with Scouting. Most recently, he has been involved in constructing improvements at Thunder Ridge Boy Scout Camp on Cedar Mountain. His community service includes years on the St. George City Planning Commission and the City Council. He was mayor of St. George and later a commissioner on the Utah State Department of Transportation. He has served on many committees and commissions including Board of Directors of Utah League of Cities and the State Joint Highway Commission. He established Larkin Plumbing in 1967 and along with his wife, Marlene, has been actively involved in civic, church and Scouting. He is the father of five children.
