Ronald James Lawrence
Ronald James Lawrence, 63, died on March 4, 2008, in Hurricane, Utah. He was born on November 14, 1944, in St. George, Utah, to James Vaughn and Edith Larson Lawrence. He married Jeraldine Gifford in 1965, and they had five children and later divorced. He then married Connie Fay Harris in 1983.
He grew up in Hurricane and was a professional truck driver. He loved driving truck and later started a trucking company with Connie, naming it Connie Lawrence Trucking.
He is survived by his children, Pamela Lawrence (Dion) Hinton, of La Verkin; Jim (Shelly) Lawrence, of Puyallup, Wash.; Connie (Boyd) Barney, of Hurricane; Mindy (Casey) Chivers, of Virgin; Brenda (Jason) Curtis, of Hurricane; stepchildren, Scott (Holly) Lewis, of La Verkin; Rhonda (Joseph) Killian, of Salt Lake City; 36 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Carol Wright; Jay Lawrence; Rolayne Bracken; Junior Ashton; Evelyn Lawrence; Larae Bauer; and Roy Hanis. He will be loved and missed by children and grandchildren and missed by all.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Connie Lawrence, and brother, Gary Lawrence.
A funeral took place on Saturday, March 8 at the Hurricane West Stake Center. Interment was in the Hurricane City Cemetery under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary (435) 673-4221.
