A New Look for Santa Clara

The city of Santa Clara officially unveiled its new streetscape for the city's Main Street on Oct. 19. At a noon ceremony, Santa Clara Mayor Rick Rosenberg cut the ribbon while standing in the road near the Relief Society Hall. The new landscaping, which was funded entirely by the federal government, is designed to make downtown Santa Clara more attractive to businesses and shoppers. The benches and flowers are designed to attract pedestrian traffic and new businesses to downtown.
