James Clifford
"Cliff" Williams
James Clifford "Cliff" Williams, our beloved father, passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007 in the Beaver Valley Hospital from an extended illness. He was born on Oct. 9, 1924 in Greenville, Utah.
He was the first born son to David James and Lillian Martin Williams. His delightful childhood was spent among loving aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents in the little farming community of Greenville where the pace of life was relaxed and carefree for a young boy.
He graduated from Beaver High School in 1943. After serving in the United States Army during WWII he returned home to marry his sweetheart, Arlene White, on Sept. 5, 1946 with his father officiating the ceremony.
They made it look so great that almost every young man who returned from the service grabbed a sweetheart and married. The union was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple.
Cliff was a marketing  representative for Chevron USA for 36 years. He had a good work ethic, good integrity, and loved to call his mom "Doll" as he helped his parents through the years.
His beautiful voice was heard on many occasions from his high school years until his recent illness. Two of his favorites were "Danny Boy", and "That
Wonderful Mother of Mine."
He was an active member of the LDS Church, where he held offices and positions throughout his life.
We love you so very much Dad and we will miss your "I love you's" to each of us.  So long until we meet again.
He is survived by his loving wife, Arlene, of Cedar City, Utah; his four children, Vicki (Sandy) Webster of Cedar City, Dan (Kris) Williams of Beaver, Utah, Jim Williams of Ely, Nev., and Kathleen Mosdell of Cedar City; his sister Helen Christiansen of Beaver, Utah; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Betty Beeson; and one brother, Cullen Williams.
Services were Thursday, Sept. 27 at the Cedar 2nd Ward chapel in Cedar City. Visitations were Wednesday, Sept. 26 and Thursday, Sept. 27. Interment was in the Mountain View Cemetery in Beaver, Utah. Online condolences can be sent at www.southernutahmortuary.com.
