Jerry Kent Nye
Jerry Kent Nye, 69, passed away Sept. 24, 2007, in Washington, Utah. He was born Jan. 4, 1938, in Denver, the son of Edwin Nye and Mary Herndon.
Jerry married Margie Louise Scott on Sept. 7, 1960. They were later sealed in the Los Angeles LDS Temple on March 2, 1968.
Jerry spent 14 years as a circus clown. After retiring from the circus, he was a locksmith for 14 years.
As an active member of the LDS Church, he served as a missionary at the LDS Employment Services for 9 1/2 years.
He is survived by his daughters: Teresa Nye, of Washington City; Deidra (Tim) Murphy, of Tampa, Fla.; and son, Jerry Lester Nye, Jr.; and five grandchildren: Amanda (Paul) Black, Justin Tillis, Wesley Tillis, Jordon Nye and Madison Nye.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie.
Services took place Saturday, Sept. 29 at the Coral Canyon Chapel in Washington City Interment was at Washington City Cemetery.
