Melba K. Black
Melba K. Black, 91, peacefully passed on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007 in St. George, Utah. She was born April 2, 1916 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She was married to James M. Black in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, Aug. 9, 1939.
She loved traveling, scrap booking, horses, singing and the color pink. She was a very talented artist with oil paints.  Melba served two LDS missions and raised six children; Barbara, James Jr., Nicholas, Claudia, Richard and Deborah.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Black Sr. She is survived by 17 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. A viewing for Melba was Sunday, Sept. 30 in the New Harmony, LDS Chapel. A viewing will be in Salt Lake City Thursday, Oct. 4 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Salt Lake City East Mill Creek LDS Ward. Interment will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery following the viewing.
