STUDENT: Dalton Groskreutz
SPORT: Football
Dalton reeled in three touchdown receptions in Snow Canyon’s demolishing of Lehi in their opening game of the season. The 6-foot-6-inch junior is in his second year starting for SCHS and has already been looked at by BYU for his athletic abilities.
COACH’S QUOTE: “Dalton is a great kid. He sets the example for hard work in every sport he plays, and that’s why he’s as good as he is and why he’s improved so much in everything he does.”
DALTON’S VIEW: “There’s magic in the green and gold,” a traditional phrase started by former players years ago that Dalton continues. Dalton and the Warriors share the same goal this season, which is to win the 3A State Championship.
NOTES: Not only does Dalton excel on the field, he also excels in the classroom, maintaining a 4.0 GPA. After high school, Dalton plans on attending college and serving an LDS mission. Dalton has started on the basketball team since his sophomore year and also competes on the track team.
