Obituaries: Lucy Isora Zabriskie Argyle

Lucy Isora Zabriskie Argyle, 90, passed away peacefully on Oct. 11, 2006. Lucy was born Feb. 19, 1916 in Springville, Utah. She married Frank C. Argyle on Nov. 15, 1935. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They enjoyed 71 years of marriage. The first 41 years in Spanish Fork, 10 years in Bountiful and the last 20 years in St. George.

Lucy’s dedication to the Lord and her family was unmatched. She served in many church callings. With her husband, she served LDS missions to Australia, Montana and to St. George, Utah. Her family fondly recalls her friendly, pleasant nature.

She was preceded in death by her infant son, Gary Argyle. She is survived by her husband, Frank C. Argyle, and five children: Phillip (Cherril) Argyle, of St. George; Lynda (Kent) Fullmer, of Bountiful; Steve (Marlene) Argyle, of Bountiful; David (Barbara) Argyle, of Spanish Fork; Craig (Ranae) Argyle, of Bountiful; 22 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

The family expresses appreciation to the Red Cliff Regional Center, their staff and others who cared for Lucy.

A family service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2006, 11 a.m., in Spanish Fork Cemetery, Spanish Fork, Utah. Arrangements are under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary, (435) 673-4221. Condolences may be sent through the Metcalf Web site at www.metcalfmortuary.com
