Print Article Email Article
Our beautiful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed Oct. 10, 2006, at the age of 85, in Washington, Utah. Alora was born Feb. 3, 1921, in Logan, Utah, to Nellie Snow and Walter Atwood. She grew up in the Uintah Basin, Roosevelt and Altonah. She married Tawannee Kolb on Oct. 9, 1938, solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, Feb. 28, 1952.

They had three children: Donal, Karon and Tyron. They later divorced. She married Ronald G. Page Oct. 17, 1984. They moved to Leeds, Utah, in 1985, and later moved to St. George.
Mom was very talented. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing and crochet. She was loved by everyone she met. Once you met her, you wouldn’t forget her.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many teaching positions, and one of her greatest joys was working in the temple.

She is survived by her husband, Ron, three children and their spouses, one stepson, 21 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren, two sisters and one brother. She is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Salli.

Grandpa Ron says, "She was my little ‘live wire’ and a darn good wife.”

The family would like to express appreciation and say thank you to the Beehive Home and also to Southern Utah Home Health Care and Hospice.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 14, at 11 a.m. at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 W. St. George Blvd., St. George, UT. A visitation will be held Friday, from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m., both at the mortuary. Interment will be in the Tonaquint Cemetery under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary, 435-673-4221. Condolences may be sent to the family through Metcalf’s Web site at www.metcalfmortuary.com.
