Delworth D. Ruesch
Delworth D. Ruesch, 81, died July 7, 2007 in La Verkin, Utah. He was born in Springdale, Utah, Washington County, on Feb. 2, 1926 to Arnold Don Ruesch and Nerissa Dennett Ruesch.
Del was raised in Springdale and graduated from Hurricane High School. He served in the Navy during World War II.
Del earned a master’s degree in education and was a teacher, principal and coach until he retired in 1976.
He married Ive Mae Bleak in 1944 in the St. George LDS Temple. They were married one year.
He married Lorraine Cecily Stone in 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were married 30 years. She died in 1976.
He married Amy Wiese in 1976 and they were married five years. He married Marjorie Beth Pinegar Lovelace in 1981 in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. They were married 25 years.
Del was a loving husband and father. He was an active member of the LDS Church.
He is survived by their children: Sherrie Ruesch Cuff, Del Ruesch, Randy Ruesch, Diane Ruesch Dewey, Mallory Ruesch, Gail Loveless Ruesch, Bennie Loveless, Ramona Loveless Mott; his wife, Marjorie; sister, Shirley Youngberg; and brother, Quimby Ruesch. He has 21 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two infant brothers, a sister, his wife Lorraine and two great-granddaughters.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2007 at the La Verkin Stake Center, 500 North, LaVerkin. Viewing will be at the Stake Center from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. before the services. A family viewing will be Friday at 7 p.m. at Heideman Mortuary in St. George. Interment will be in the Springdale City Cemetery under the direction of Heideman Mortuary.
