Mary A. Bauer
Mary Bauer, mostly  known as "Nana," began her life in the small New England town of Salem, Mass.
As she grew to womanhood, she met and fell in love with a handsome young sailor, Denton Bauer. Together they continued the Bauer Family legacy.
The early years in Cedar were hard and the family moved back to New England. There they grew, worked and raised their family. As the family aged, they moved back to Cedar City, to enjoy their twilight years and play with the grandchildren.
Mary left our care, surrounded by her family, on June 22, 2007 to reunite herself with her young sailor and friends and family that had passed on before.
Mary is survived by her children: Penny (John) Cimon, Bruce Bauer, and Holly (Norm) Chandler, all of Cedar City. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Denton,  her parents, a brother, Richard Casey, a grandson, Denton Bruce Bauer, Jr. and a great-granddaughter, Amanda Lee Cimon.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Joseph Te at  the IHC Infusion Clinic, Ethan Bunker at Alliance Hospice and Home Health for their care and compassionate service.
Services were Wednesday, June 27 at the Cedar 8th Ward LDS Church, 212 W. 200 South in Cedar City. A visitation was Wednesday, June 27 also at the Church. Arrangements were made by Southern Utah Mortuary. On-line condolences can be sent at www.southernutahmortuary.com.
