Mildred Argyle Johnson
Mildred Argyle Johnson passed away peacefully on March 23, 2007 at the age of 93, at home with her family. She was born Aug. 11, 1913 in Bountiful, Davis County, Utah, to Adelbert Holroyd Argyle, and Alta Jolley. She attended West High School.
Mildred married Reynold Quentin Johnson on March 4, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah, and they were sealed in the LDS Salt Lake Temple Feb. 4, 1955. They had six children, Darrell Quentin (Joyce), Timothy Quentin (deceased), Marilyn Beverly Johnson, Stanley Quentin (Polly), Reynold Quentin Jr. (Doreen), and Vernon Quentin (Debbie).
Reynold preceded her in death Sept. 2, 1993. Mildred has 36 grandchildren, 120 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She also has two sisters, Alpha Argyle Schmucker and Bernice Argyle, who are also deceased.
Mildred loved her family dearly and on occasions when they were all together, she would look them over and say, “And they are all mine!” She loved her farm and garden where her children were raised. She had a passion for family history.
The viewing will be Thursday, March 29, 2007, from 9 to 10:45 a.m. at the Cresentview Ward building, 10980 S., 1700 East, Sandy, Utah. The graveside service will be immediately after, at the Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 South, Sandy, Utah.
