Norine Hunter Bell 85, of Cedar City, Utah passed away Sunday, March 25, 2007 in Riverside, Calif. Born Dec. 4, 1921, in Cedar City, Utah, she spent her early years in the “South Field.”
After graduating high school she joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1943, serving 3 years.  She met her lifelong friend and love, Walter, on VJ day in San Francisco.
They married in April 1946 and spent 60 wonderful years together. Norine followed her husband to many Marine duty stations throughout the world, making many friends wherever she went.
In 1989, Walt and Norine retired and returned to Cedar City. She loved gardening, quilting, and sitting on her front porch visiting with family and friends.  She loved her family and her Savior Jesus Christ.
Norine was preceded in death by her parents, George and Pauline Hunter and brother Clyde W. Hunter. She is survived by husband Walter Bell, sons Michael Walter (Laura) of Yorba Linda, Calif., Robert (Linda) of Long Beach, Calif., daughter Deborah of Riverside, Calif., and her beloved grandchildren Alison, Matthew, Elizabeth, Elise and Erin, brothers and sister-in-law Richard and Toni Hunter and Antone and Fern Hunter, sisters Georgia Merrill and Kathryn Adams (Gary) and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Services will be March 30 at 10:00 a.m. at Southern Utah Mortuary in Cedar City, Utah.  Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. at the mortuary before services. Interment will be in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.  Online condolences can be sent to www.southernutahmortuary.com.
