Christine Record Humphreys
Christine Record Humphreys
Our beautiful wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend Christine Record Humphreys passed into the arms of her Heavenly Father surrounded by her loving family March 12, 2007, in St. George, Utah.
She was born Nov. 24, 1952, in Salt Lake City to David Longshaw and Maxine Ruff Record. Christine married her eternal companion Kelly James Humphreys on Oct. 18, 1973, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Christine was raised in Salt Lake City and attended the University of Utah and Utah State University. She was a gifted artist and a beautiful dancer. Christine owned and operated Dance Academy, where she taught the children the beauty of dance.
Her most recent position as Fitness Director at Entrada Fitness Center allowed her to share her knowledge and love of fitness and the importance of a healthy lifestyle with the members she worked with. She loved exercising, hiking, walking and being in the outdoors. Her greatest joy was being with her family. She fought valiantly against breast cancer and through all of the pain and hardship managed to greet everyone with her beautiful smile; a smile her family will sorely miss. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings.
Christine is survived by her loving husband, Kelly, her three daughters, Tara (Joseph) Jenkins, Jenny (Ben) Noble, Shannon (Jason) Kidman; her son, Elder Casey James Humphreys, currently serving a mission in the Little Rock, Ark. LDS Mission; her mother and father; her brothers and sisters, David (Patricia) Record, Michael (Nanon) Record, Susan (Ronald) Oldroyd and Barbara (Dave) Rufener; her seven grandchildren, Emma, Caden, Nicholas, Blake, Jay, Carter and Brynlee, and many family members and friends who loved her dearly.
Services were March 16 at the Snow Canyon LDS 6th Ward Chapel. Interment was at the Tonaquint Cemetery, St. George. Condolences may be sent to the family through Metcalf’s Mortuary’s Web site at www.metcalfmortuary.com.
A special thanks to our angel, Larri White, of IHC Hospice for her compassionate and kind care of Christine.
