James Lee Dalley
James Lee Dalley, 49, passed away in an accident on April 23, 2008, doing what he loved to do most, fixing cars. Jim was born January 10, 1959, in Arcadia, Calif., to Margaret and Leon Dalley. He married his sweetheart, Michelle Baadsgaard, on December 14, 1990, in Benjamin, Utah, and was sealed in the St. George LDS Temple on December 14, 2001.
Jim was a very dedicated and loving father; he loved his children very much and was always there for them. He spoiled them, pretty much giving them everything they ever wanted. Jim worked especially hard to provide for his family, even when it meant working late hours. He worked at St. George Ford as an auto-technician for 14 years. He loved his work and was a very dedicated and loyal employee. He loved watching sports and was passionate and excited about the games. He was a Dallas Cowboy fan since age 6 and stood by them and the Jazz through the good and bad years. He enjoyed boating, family drives, and exploring any new and exciting places with his family. He especially enjoyed motorcycle rides with his angel, Michelle. Jim was a very giving individual, always using his natural abilities to help those in need, never expecting anything in return.
Jim is survived by his wife, Michelle; four children: Chelsey (Brian) Hafen, Brian, Jamie and Nikki; and two grandchildren: Briley and Parker. He is also survived by his mother, Margaret, and four sisters: Berdean Sinkule, Lorna Webb, Leona Dalley and Natasha Peck. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Leon Auds Dalley; brother, Leon Dalley; and sister, Helen Dalley.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 28, at the Hurricane LDS 8th Ward Chapel. Interment was in the Hurricane City Cemetery under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary. See Metcalf Mortuary’s Web site www.metcalfmortuary.com for condolences and complete obituary and funeral listings.
